What is WB JEE?
WB JEE, known as West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, is a state level entrance examination that is held once a year. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board is the competent authority to conduct the examination. The purpose of this examination is to offer into Undergraduate courses in different streams such as engineering, pharmacy, architecture. Any candidate who is in 12th or has passed 12th in 2023can fill up the application form.
- Any Indian National or an OCI Candidate is eligible to apply for WB JEE
- The minimum age of the candidates should not be less than 17. There is no maximum age limit
WB JEE 2023Important Dates
WB JEE exam was successfully concluded on 30th April 2023. The results for the same have not been declared by the concerned authorities.

- It must be noted that the exam is conducted once a year and shall not be held twice in case any applicant misses his/her exam
WB JEE 2023Eligibility Criteria
All the aspirants are required to meet certain criteria (including Nationality criteria, Educational Qualification and Age criteria) to apply for WB JEE. Below-mentioned the criteria that need to be fulfilled.
- Nationality- The person must be a citizen of India or OCI candidate. OCI candidates require approval from the concerned authorities in order to appear in WB JEE.
- OCI candidates are eligible only for the unreserved seats
- Educational Qualification- The applicants must have passed 12th or must be in 12th in 2022
- Age restriction- The candidates must have attained an age of 17 as on 31-12-2023. All the candidates must be born on or before 31-12-2006. The concerned authorities have not prescribed any upper age limit
- The upper age limit should not exceed 25 in order to pursue Mining Engineering
WB JEE 2023Selection Process
The WB JEE selection process involves multiple stages. As a first stage in the selection process, an offline examination is conducted. After examination, applicants are required to fill up the counselling form and choose college as per the preference
- Offline Examination- West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board conduct WB JEE
- Declaration of results- Post Examination, West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will declare the result or score card on the official website
- Online Counseling- Register for the counselling process and pay the counselling fee.
- Choosing college- Applicants can choose as many colleges as possible to increase the chances of seat allotment. Candidates fill the counselling form only once.
- Seat Allotment- Based on the counselling form, West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will release the merit list of the eligible candidates for admission
WB JEE Exam 2023Registration Process
Registration process is compulsory for all the WB JEE aspirants. The concerned authorities accept registration only via its official website.
Step 1: Go to the official website of the conducting body
Step 2: Go to the registration link and mention details such as name, mother's name, father's name, DOB, gender, mobile number, address and email ID
Step 3: Review the mentioned details before proceeding further. The details mentioned once cannot be edited
Step 4: Create a strong password
Step 5: Application ID or number will be sent on the mentioned email ID and number
Step 6: Note down the Application ID or number for future reference
WB JEE 2023Application Process
After the conclusion of the Registration Process, the applicants are required to fill up the application form. Follow the below-mentioned steps to fill your Application From-
Step 1: Login into account by entering generated application ID and password
Step 2: Choose Examination zone as per your preference
Step 3: Upload color photographs. The size of the photograph must be between 10-200 kb
Step 4: Upload a clear photograph of your signature. The size of the photograph carrying signature must be between 4-30 kb
Step 5: Upload marksheet/certificate in PDF format. The size of the PDF must be between 50-300 kb
Step 6: Pay the application fee via Net banking, Debit card, Credit card only
Step 7: After the payment, a confirmation page will appear. Confirmation page will appear after the successful filling up of form
